8th Grade Coaches: Mark Folsom
Mark began his coaching career in 1996 coaching the 8th grade team in
the Lake Washington select program. In 1997,he began coaching at the
collegiate level as a graduate assistant at Seattle Pacific University for
Coach Ken Bone who is currently the head coach at Washington State.
In 1998 , he moved to Boise, ID and accepted the Director of
Basketball Operations position at Boise State University. In 1999, he
was hired at Portland State University as an Asst. Coach overseeing
player development and assisting in all recruiting efforts. After spending
one season at Portland State and coaching in the Big Sky Conference,
he accepted an Asst. Coaching position at Boise State. During his three
years at Boise State (1999-2002) his responsibilities included player
development, recruiting, managing summer camps, game scheduling,
and game preparation.
